2007 ARea51 - ARQ Round 5 - Hells Bells

We didn't really know what was in store for us because we where only given the first two legs before the start but we were promised some tough navigation - yay. We were just getting warmed up 2 hours into the race when a barbed wire fence appeared out of nowhere in front of me. Quick application of the front brakes propelled me over the handle bars and square onto the fence. It broke my fall. After pulling the barbs from my leg we continued. On the next steep downhill my front wheel hit something big and I was over the handlebars again. This time there was no fence to break my fall. I cracked my helmet and bent my left arm backwards. Fortunately I was able to relocate the elbow with out problem and we walked out to the nearest manned checkpoint.
