Ailsa Stream Sep 2015
Steve has got permission from the land owners to 4wd up the Cass River valley to a good area for ski touring on the Liebig Range. The forecast is for some fantastic weather so we decide on an overnighter with a high camp at the top of Ailsa Stream. The snow starts a little higher up than we hoped so first we have to hoof it with skis, boots, poles, ice axe, crampons and overnight gear for snow camping. Heavy loads! It's a relief once we get to the snow. Postscript There's no photos of skiing back down the valley because the mechanical shutter on our Sony A7R broke!
