When we arrive we get the BIG Bula welcome. This guy can do it all day. We can hear him from our room! We like it.
Complimentary champagne and canapes!
Our room is very nicely furnished. Including a solid, comfortable king size bed.
The bathroom is decorated nicely too.
Each evening there is the torch lighting ceremony where the drums get hit, the conch gets blown and, of course, the torches get lit.
The pool is very peaceful after all the kids have gone to bed.
The view from our room.
We head down to breakfast on the covered walkways. These come in pretty handy during the many rain showers.
Our favourite is the omelet bar.
Hot breakfast food. I restrict myself to one omelet, toast and hash browns after the first day of gorging.
And maybe a pastry if I can squeeze it in.
The omelets are excellent. Particularly with a little fresh chili.
Darren with a particularly strong angry Fijian on his bucks night.
Darren signs for room service beers while getting ready for the wedding.
Going over his speech.
How does a double windsor go again?
The best man's speech.
With no makeup or hairdressing for these guys, there's plenty of time.
That's not a double windsor! (Guess who's hand is passing the beer.)
The photographer arrives in time for a couple of quick shots.
The drinks are ready to flow for after the ceremony.
Relishing Darren's final moments as an unmarried man. Who's the scruff bucket on the left?
